About
Public education, traditionally the domain of nations or federal states, is a key battleground for control over the future. Digital data are increasingly salient in education today, and decisions over data are eminently political. While the equitable integration of technology in education can open pathways to success for students worldwide, there is much scope for unregulated, inequitable designs and practices today.
In our joint research project, Reconfigurations of Educational In/Equality in a Digital World (RED), we explore these issues, asking how 'digital education' is unfolding around the world today, observing what is changing and interrogating how these changes are related to relations of equality and inequality.
